Create a Source Connection

Create the Data Catalog

Populate the Data Catalog

Source Connection

Ensure you have a Source Connection created to your Snowflake instance. If not, create a Source Connection. Remember, this is different than a Target Connection

  • Currently, the Data Catalog only works with a Snowflake Source Connection

Data Catalog

In the navigation menu click Data Catalog

Click on the Snowflake Source Connection you created earlier. If you have not created a Snowflake Source Connection yet, you will be prompted to.

Enter the Catalog Details or keep the default values. This information should be descriptive enough that it's meaningful to other users within your organization.

  • Catalog Name
    • Default: Data Warehouse Glossary
  • Catalog Description
    • Default: Our data catalog for the Data Warehouse

Click Next and then click Try Now!

The Data Catalog will refresh showing the schemas available to the login credentials you entered in the Snowflake Source Connection.
